Measles IgG (Immunity)

The Measles IgG (Immunity) blood test is a diagnostic tool designed to assess an individual's immunity to the measles virus by detecting the presence of specific antibodies in the bloodstream. 

During the test, a small blood sample is collected from a vein in the arm. This sample is then analysed in our laboratory to measure the levels of immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies that specifically target the measles virus.

The primary purpose of this test is to determine whether an individual has previously been exposed to the measles virus and has developed immunity. IgG antibodies are produced by the immune system in response to infection or vaccination, providing long-term protection against future exposure to the virus.
